Next, you need to think about what material is preferable to you. Leather is one of the most popular choices. Of course, leather couches are more often seen in offices, reception rooms in hospitals etc. One of the greatest advantages of leather couches is their durability. They are also stain resistant, and so you may not worry if someone spill beer or milk over your couch. The only disadvantage of leather settees is the price. They are somewhat expensive.
The height from the floor to the top of the seat cushion should be around 40cms. Recommended foam thickness for seat and back cushion should be between 15 and 18cms. If the base foam is too thin the user may feel the frame components through the foam. If using solid foam as a back support the back foam should be around 30% softer than the base foam. The weight distribution of the body on the sofa is such that less weight is applied to the back cushion. If the back cushion is the same density as the seat cushion it will feel far too firm to the user.
These days everything seems to be about downsizing. So why not downsize your seating area? Whether it is for you home or your office, a leather settee would make a fine addition to your decor.
