The standard sofa depth is around 36", but it can be deeper for more (38 ‐ 42") or shallow loungey shades (30"‐34") for better back support and a more formal appearance.
To get the right conception of what size sofa is best for your space, try cutting a large piece of slaughter paper into the length of the proposed sofa. Make sure you can walk around it, load all the furniture needed, and still get to the door. Don't skip to measure the length or height of your elevator if you need to use it to bring the sofa to your area!
For most personalities, the excellent sofa is 40" deep, 60" long, and 36" high with 19" seat height. But you can (and should!) Adjust each dimension to fit your body, the area of the room, and whereby you want to apply this sofa.
