No is "not an option"
Leather furniture requires their regular preening (aka conditioning) to maintain their beauty and sheen. Thankfully, 'regular' in this sense refers not to a daily routine ‐twice a year is a good gauge.
Away from the sun, away from harm
Like skin, constant exposure to the UV rays of the sun will harm the leather surface. If possible, don't place leather furniture in direct sunlight. Otherwise, do condition exposed areas more frequently (leather furniture requires their sunblock too).
I hope some of the little tips above can help keep your 'leather sofa' healthy and functional. However, having a beautiful and well-maintained sofa is an investment. While still able to take good care, of course, we don't need to spend money to buy a new leather sofa. Good luck!
