Take some paper bags or small gift bags with handles and have the kids draw eyes, nose, and mouth on the outside for the bunny rabbit. Cut out ears from templates, let the kids color these, and glue them onto the bag. The kids now have something to collect their Easter eggs in.
Make ladybugs with different numbers of dots on the back and hand them out. Have the children tell you how many spots the ladybugs have. Once the kids know the numbers, have them add the spots together on more than one ladybug. Subtraction is an option as well. This is something most every child in the U.S. has done at least once. Have the kids trace their hands with fingers extended. Use crayons, paints, glitter, etc. to draw and decorate the turkeys.
Invest in a good clay set for starters and let them play with the same. Make a snail and snake and they will love/imitate the same. Appreciate surely. Teach them the basic color like red, blue, green, yellow, white and black. Buy a thick crayon stick and let them hold the same for an entire day. Anything novel is a fancy item. Slowly introduce the paper and let them do what they want with it.
