Round Corner Wedge – This is a corner piece that allows a sectional sofa to fit in a corner. Most wedges create a 90 degree angle but some create wider angles. Corner wedges are usually armless. Square Corner – This is a square corner piece that allows a sectional sofa to fit in a corner. This piece has a hard 90 degree angle to it and takes up less space in a room than a curved corner wedge. These pieces will be armless.
Consider the corner seat. Be aware that for L- and U-shape sectionals, the seat in the corner will likely be boxed in on both sides, leaving little room for lounging legs when the rest of the sofa is occupied. If this doesn't float your boat, try a rounder style that allows extra room for legs.
U-Shaped Sectionals. U-shaped sectionals offer a lot of seating and are great sofas for larger families and gatherings. These sectionals typically have a center sofa with two equal sofas on either side.
