Print out a template of a lamb, cut the lamb shape out and glue it to construction paper. Put some dabs of glue on the shape and glue cotton balls to form a soft cuddly lamb. Black ovals and circles can be cut out and glued on for the ears and eyes.
Take some paper bags or small gift bags with handles and have the kids draw eyes, nose and mouth on the outside for the bunny rabbit. Cut out ears from templates, let the kids color these, and glue them onto the bag. The kids now have something to collect their Easter eggs in.
Paper plate animals make the perfect kids craft idea. Most are very easy and inexpensive and kids can pick their favorite animal. You can make masks, wall hangings, animal mobiles and standing animal crafts. The great thing about making animals from a simple paper plate is you can make anything - from aardvarks to zebras and everything in between. Here are just a couple ideas for your animal crafts your kids can make.
Rabbits are so awesome with their long, pointed ears, fluffy fur, huge eyes and stubby tails. They look so cute when they nibble at their food while holding it with their tiny paws. Chipmunks look so cuddly with their striped backs and long, fuzzy tails. They even look cuter when they stuff their mouths to the full. They make those cute sound too. Remember Alvin and The Chipmunks?
Make ladybugs with different numbers of dots on the back and hand them out. Have the children tell you how many spots the ladybugs have. Once the kids know the numbers, have them add the spots together on more than one ladybug. Subtraction is an option as well.
